Number of deportation cases that were filed with the
Immigration Court in Orlando from 1992 to 2012
When an individual is not authorized to be in the U.S., there are different procedures the
government can us to remove or deport the person. The procedure used depends on the
individual circumstances of the person and on the claims raised by the person. In some situations,
the government can deport the person without having to file a deportation case with the
Immigration Court. However, in the remainder of the cases, the government is required to file a
deportation case with the Immigration Court if it seeks to have the person deported or removed.
